About the Fairmont Dallas
Combining the hospitality, luxury and service of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts with that special Texas flair, The Fairmont Dallas is conveniently located in the Dallas Arts District.
The hotel is within minutes of the financial district, cultural activities, and the West End Historic District known for its shops, lively restaurants and nightlife. Nearby freeways offer quick access to the Dallas Market Center, major shopping centers, and both area airports.
The Fairmont Dallas opened with much local fanfare in 1969 as Texas' first luxury hotel. At the time of its completion, the hotel was the tallest building in the City. On a clear day, one could see from the hotel's penthouse suite to the town of McKinney, 20 miles north.
Dubbed "The Arts District Hotel", The Fairmont Dallas remains at the center of Dallas action. The Dallas Museum of Art, Symphony Hall, Arts District Theatre, and the Nasher Sculpture Garden, are all located within three blocks of the hotel.
Since its inception, The Fairmont Dallas has hosted every debutante, and political and civic event in the City. Entertainment is also an integral part of the Fairmont tradition. The hotel's Venetian Room (styled after the famous Venetian Room of its sister hotel, The Fairmont San Francisco) has featured a multitude of performing artists, including Jerry Lewis, Sammy Davis Jr., The Platters, The Drifters, and The Supremes.
